Graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1990, specializing in Economics.

Obtained a Post-Graduate Degree from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1994, specializing in Economics; PhD in Economics.

Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Cumbria (UK) in 2014.

Executive Education in the USA in 2005-2006, including Harvard Kennedy School.

Lead Researcher at the Institute of Political Sciences of Georgia in 1994-1996, also teaching Economics at various higher education institutions in Tbilisi, Georgia.

State Adviser at the State Chancellery of Georgia in 1997-2000, later promoted to the positions of Deputy Division Chief of Fiscal Policy within the Economic Service; Deputy Head of Economic Service; Acting Parliamentary Secretary of the President of Georgia.

Member of City Assembly for Tbilisi in 1998-2000; Deputy Chairman of Fiscal Commission of the City Assembly for Tbilisi.

First Deputy Minister of Economy of Georgia from 2000 through May 2005.

Was appointed as a Deputy Secretary of the Security Council at the President of Georgia in May 2005.

Served as the First Deputy Minister of Economy of Georgia from September 2005 through November 2006.

Board Member of Georgian Industrial Group LLC and later a Chairwoman of the Board of Directors at the Georgian International Energy Corporation LLC in the period of 2006-2013.

Deputy Executive Director of the Partnership Fund JSC from August 2013 through September 2018.

Served as a Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia from September 14, 2018 through April 18, 2019.

Was appointed as a Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia on April 18, 2019.

Is an author of almost 40 scientific-research papers, articles and monographs and co-author of 2 books.
